Helen Falls

This summer was full of nature center visits and hikes with friends. We went to Helen Hunt Falls and panned for gold, had a picnic by the creek and visited the Starsmore Nature Center. It is amazing how many hands on learning things the Nature Centers have for the kids and they are FREE. The kids made tracks in the sand and listened to different animal sounds. A guide took the kids down to the creek and taught them to pan for gold. So cute.

Kayden was the best at walking across all the rocks because of his huge feet!

We did not find any gold, but we were shiny when we left!

First Day of School

I recently went back to work 3 days a week. We shopped around MANY preschools to find the right fit for our kids. It was quite an adjustment going back to work, but part time is perfect. The kids are doing amazing at school and have already learned so much. I am thankful we took the time to find the right place for them. Here is the only good picture of their first day. They were pretty pumped up to go to school.

She is loving Basketball

Kendal will dress as fancy as you can get, but will still play any sport or get dirty. She sure is a princess, but will not miss out on anything. This is one Sunday after church.

Zoo Party

The kids were invited to Kate's 5th birthday at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. We always have fun when we get to visit the zoo.

Stanley Hotel Ghost Tour

Mom, Shelley, Shaun, and I took a Ghost Tour in the Stanley Hotel. It was pretty interesting and I loved getting to see all the rooms in the hotel. Not sure how I really feel about the ghost stuff......but many people believe it is true.

Estes Park 2009

This summer we spent the Fourth of July weekend with my parents, sister, and Shaun in Estes Park, CO. We had not been up there in a few years. I love it there. It is so beautiful and has so many fun things to do. Ross, Shelley, Shaun, and I had the opportunity to take a long adult only hike which was amazing. The kids really enjoyed the fireworks. Here are a few shots from the weekend.
