Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!

Little Stars

Kendal has been taking ballet and music at a studio here in town. She had her recital yesterday. She was very excited to dance and do her music on stage. The show was about the Missing Penguins. Her ballet class were the twinkling stars and her music class were elves. When she ran out there the first time with her dance class she looked and looked until she saw us. I asked her after who she was looking for and she said, "Daddy!" So sweet. When she was walking out there with her music class she waved at us and then did her thing. She did such a good job this time. We were excited for her.

Jingle Bell Rock

Kendal has been taking a mini musician class at her dance studio this fall. They had a recital yesterday. She had her ballet piece first and then did her music second. She has been very excited about doing Jingle Bell Rock on stage. She loves her music class and music is her favorite part of church! She is the one all the way on the left. I broke it up so it would be easier to download . Hope you guys enjoy!

Estella Comes to Visit

The Friday after Thanksgiving my good friend Christy and her husband and daughter came to visit us. Estella and Kendal are the same age and love to play together. We hardly get to see them since we have moved to Colorado Springs, but love to visit with them. The girls loved playing dress up. I hardly got a good picture because I was so busy chatting.

Kendal's Birthday

I totally forgot to post this last month. For Kendal's actual birthday Ross and I took the kids to a place called Lil Biggs. It is similar to Chuck E Cheese, but geared towards 5 & under. You pay one price and all the playing is included so hardly any tokens. They had dress up, a bounce house, sand area, hospital, grocery, etc. The kids had a blast. Kendal was also able to open two presents which were her Fancy Nancy Doll and a necklace. As you can tell she loved Fancy Nancy. She has gone so many places with us. Her bible study teacher told me that Fancy Nancy was welcome to come to bible study anytime because she was so well behaved.
The dress up room and the baby room were by far Kendal's favorites.

After she was all dressed she went for a ride on the bus.

Snow Bunny

Here is a picture of our temperature reading during the last week of really chilly weather. Thursday am it was 12 degrees when we woke up and that is the day Kendal REALLY wanted to play in the snow. I let her play while Kayden was napping. She had a blast. It should be an interesting winter, hopefully filled with snowmen building, snow angels, and sledding!

Word Reading

I thought the grandparents would enjoy seeing Kendal learning to read. We do a reading lesson everyday which includes sounding out words and then reading a sentence or two.

Christmas Season

We kicked off Christmas season with a countdown calendar. I let Kendal pick was to put in the 24 pockets and she wanted candy canes. Each night after dinner I let them pick out their treat and then we count how many days left until Christmas. We also picked out our Christmas tree Wednesday and it started SNOWING on us. Ross had made all of us hot chocolate before we left. It made the kids really excited to pick out a tree.

Snow, Snow, and More Snow

No excuses as to why there are no posts. But it is very chilly here in Colorado these days. We had a rather warm November until Thanksgiving day. This was the snow in our backyard last Sunday evening. It has snowed just about everyday in the last week. Sunday and today have been the worst. Kendal and I have been tracking the temperatures each morning so I will try to take a picture of our chart and post is soon. We had hot chocolate to stay warm. I love all the posts from the people in Fl with flip flops etc. Kendal loves to play in the snow and Kayden cries if his hands get cold. I thought it should have been the other way around. Oh well. We went sledding on Monday so I will try to catch up with the posts this weekend.
