Future Coaches?!?!?!

The kids and I both have really enjoyed going to the pool and cheering for Ross' swimmers. I do not think we will attend all meets, but we will definetly attend another meet.

Wild Man

Kayden is a wild man at home. He is climbing on everything and runs around like crazy. The boy never sits still. I have no idea where he came from. But when we do to the sprinkler park or to the pool he stays close and is very reserved. This proves different.

Sprinkler Fun in Grand Junction

One of the reasons I agreed to attend the meet was because the pool is outside along with a sprinkler area. I knew the kids would have fun playing there with slightly warmer weather then what we have in Colorado Springs. I am happy to say that today it was 97 degrees and I was not sweating. I loved it and so did my kids. Kayden was acting a fool in the water! I could not believe all the stuff he was doing. I will try to add a video during nap tomorrow!

A Trip of Firsts

Ross always invites to go to out of town swim meets with him. he has been practically begging me to attend the one he goes to every summer in Grand Junction, CO. Well this year I decided we would go. Unfortunately I could not leave until Friday and Ross left early Thursday. My only option was to drive with the two kids by myself. The drive was a little over 300 miles from our house to the hotel. Grand Junction is in the Western part of Colorado. I knew this was going to be the longest car ride the kids have ever taken, the longest I have been alone in the car with them, but also the longest I have ever driven by myself (without in other adult). Well folks we made it to Grand Junction in one piece. The highlight of the drive was passing through 6 tunnels. Kendal loved holding her breath through them. It was truly a beautiful drive and the kids did amazing. I hope the trip back goes as smooth. Last night the kids were SUPER FIRED UP after visiting with everyone at the swim meet and then getting into our hotel room. This was the first time for them to sleep in a bed together and for Kayden to sleep in a regular bed. Here are a few pictures of the action going down before bed.

Sky Sox Game

This past Sunday Ross and I took the kids to the Sky Sox game with the Woodmoor Waves Swim team. Sky Sox is a AAA baseball team which plays 10 minutes from our house. The kids had a great time. We made it through most of the game in the stands. Kendal realized that there was a sprinkler right behind our seats so she wanted to get wet. Kayden was obsessed with the Sky Sox Fox (mascot...no picture). Then we walked over to the grassy area and the kids got in trouble for wrestling. OOPS! Anyway we made it through the whole game.

Pow Wham

Sunday morning the kids that partcipated in Vacation Bible School sang one of their songs in front of the church. It was Kendal's favorite song from the whole week. She is still walking around singing.......Pow, Wham, Jesus loves me, Shazam! I took a short clip since the video from the other night was not that great. Kendal had so much fun getting to sing and dance again!

Tinkerbell Party

Saturday I drove the kids to Denver for a Tinkerbell Birthday Party for Estella. It was at a local park. The weather was fabulous. Kayden was feeling super cool with his baseball cap on. He has refused to wear a hat until now with his new hair cut. We had a great time seeing our friends. I asked Kendal on the way home what was her favorite part about the party and she said, "getting to sit by Estella." I thought that was so sweet.
Estella blowing out her candles.
My kids enjoying cake.

Kayden loved the blowers. He kept walking up to the kids and blowing it on them.
Here he is.......he took his sandals and hat off on the way up because they got in his way.
Pull string pinata. Kayden had the string that pulled all the candy out.

Of course his favorite part was the bubbles he got in his goodie bag.
