Happy Halloween!

I hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween! We sure did. I let Kendal were dress up clothes today all day. We had a ton of errands to run so she chose to wear a pink dress my parents got her while in China for the Olympics. We asked our neighbors to come over and have the traditional hot dogs and chili Halloween dinner and then head out for Trick or Treating. The kids have been able to dress up in costumes all week with classes and our party. But they were REALLY exciting about going out for treats. I really think Kayden understood because when I told him is was time he dressed himself.
Having a snack before dinner. Fancy Nancy/Princess Belle (depends on which day you ask) and The Dragon.the whole crew Skeleton, Kim Possible, a bat, fancy nancy, and the dragon. The kids loved dressing up and going trick or treating. Kendal really wanted to be the first one at the door and Kayden was more interested in what animals were inside the people's home and what candy was still left in their bowls. Last year when we got home I let them eat whatever they wanted and then threw the rest away. The was the plan this year, until we got home and they both went straight to bed.

Halloween Party

Tuesday afternoon we had a Halloween Party at our house for all the kids in our playgroup. All the mom's dressed up in costumes as well. I was a pirate. The kids thought it was hilarious that we all dressed up. We played pin the nose on the pumpkin, had bloody hand punch, pumpkin pepperoni pizza, and eyeballs. Kayden is a dragon and Kendal is a princess for Halloween this year. It was really warm that day and Kayden did not where the top to his costume, and did not get in any pictures. Such a stinker.

Long overdue

My friend Nikki talked me into and taught me to sew in April while I was in Louisiana. Ms. Connie also helped me learn how to read patterns, etc. So this is the first set of matching outfits I have completed for both kids. And of course this is the best picture I could get of the two of them together. Halloween party pics to come soon.

Don't be fooled by the snow

The fall weather is prettier this year then I have ever remembered. Here is Kayden having fun in some fallen leaves while Kendal is in ballet.

Real tea Party

I busted out my tea cups and saucers the other day and we had a family tea party during snack time. The kids loved it. We may have to do this often during the winter months to keep busy.

First Snow for the Season

A guy from my bible study mentioned to me last week that it had already snowed by this time last year. I totally thought he was crazy. Until yesterday morning. I tried to get a decent shot of the kids in the backyard with the snow. Who knows what they were really doing.

Sunday Lunch

Sorry for all the posts backed up to August. The pictures were missing, until this week. So I thought I would continue to play catch up. Kendal sings in the Cherub Choir in church which is preschoolers. The sing about every other month. In August they sang a few songs. After church my friend Amanda and I took our kids to lunch since both of our husbands were working that day. Look how cute they all are!

Free Tickets to Sky Sox Game

We won free tickets to a Sky Sox game in August. We let the kids get snow cones at the game. They really enjoy going to watch baseball games. We did have to leave early because we locked the keys in the car. Oops. So my friend Amanda came and got and took us to the house and then brought me back to the car with the extra keys.

Funny Kids

Ross bought this shirt for Kayden which is totally appropriate. On any given day Kendal is dressed up in something such as a dress, shoes, crown, jewelry etc. This particular afternoon we were waiting for my dad to arrive and she was walking Diego around the backyard in her "walking clothes." Absolutely Hilarious.

Waiting for Paw Paw.

Olympic Bday PartyTake Two

We had a birthday party for Kayden her in Colorado as well. Kayden really loves the sprinkler park and I still wanted to have an Olympic party for our Colorado friends so I felt this was a great place. It was nice because the park employees set up the decorations and table and then we had an area outside the sprinkler park to play Olympic games. We did the same type games at both parties. The kids had a blast. Kayden loved having the sprinkler park all to himself. He was pretty full of himself that day!
