Tea Party

Today the kids had a tea party in my mother's backyard. Kendal had on a dress my grandmother wore as a little girl and Kayden had on his daddy's baby clothes. They both had fun drinking "tea" (actually water). It was mostly for Kendal and her babies but she did let Kayden sit at the table for a few minutes.

Snowball Stand

Earlier this week I took the kids to a snowball stand in Abita Springs, LA. It has a big fenced in play yard, so we also went to play with some of our friends. Needless to say Kendal loved her snowball. I surely enjoyed mine as well, since we do not get snowballs in Colorado. Both kids enjoyed playing with everyone. Kayden loved playing with Chase and Michelle. Luke joyriding. Abigail loved her blue snowball.

then Kendal came and tried to take the ball away. While Kendal and Amelia were busy squabbling, Abigail swiped the ball and took off. If you can't tell Amelia is crying. Girls are not really girls if they aren't squealing over something.

Global Wildlife Adventure

Today Grandy and I brought the kids to Global Wildlife in Robert, Louisiana. You buy food and you take a ride on wagon over land and feed the animals. They have zebras, llamas, camels, deer, giraffe and many more animals. They both had a blast! Getting ready for the ride. Kendal getting her cup filled with animal food.

Snack Time outside

We have been eating outside a bunch this week. It helps with Kendal's accidents and the kids love it. If you notice Kendal really wanted Kayden to wear her pink baby shoes. I put him at the table along with a bowl of goldfish. I went back to grab the water and apple slices. When I turned around Kayden was on top of the table trying to eat the goldfish. Wild man I say!

Potty Training

Kendal has been asking to go use the big potty for about a month. She has been very interested in wearing big girl panties. I have been hesitant about potty training due to the move and all the trips. But since it snowed all last week I decided to go for it. Potty training is by far the hardest thing I have done as parent. It is very time intensive. I took Kendal to the store to pick out special treats. She picked out LifeSaver gummies and "pink juice boxes". Everytime she has dry panties she gets a Lifesaver snack and when she goes potty she gets a pink juice box. I love the juice box because it keeps her going to the bathroom. Here she is in her plastic panties with her treats!Here is her potty doll who wears the same panties as her and gets the same treats. Her special treats!I should have invested in a very comfortable chair and the paint for the bathrooms. There are moments when I am in the bathroom with her waiting for the pee pee to come for 30-45 minutes. She claims it is coming! At least all of our bathrooms are organized.

We had a great Easter even though it was inside. Kendal finally went on an egg hunt in the family room after she got over EVERYTHING Kayden had in his basket. Yes, she was totally not interested in what the Easter Bunny brought her only what he brought Kayden.

New Package

Kendal and Kayden received an Easter package from Gram and Gramp today. Of course everyone was all in the box, yes even Diego!
They got a really cool fish puzzle which caused a fight between sister, brother, and dog! Kendal also loved the bubble wrap!

Checking out the new Yard

My kids love to play outside. Since a majority of our time in the last week has been unpacking I thought they should play outside. Kayden loves to crawl around and eat grass. Kendal always goes straight for the sandbox!

Not an Art teacher

I attempted dying easter eggs with Kendal yesterday. Once I got the kit out and was setting up the dye I realized it has probably been at least 15 years since I had colored easter eggs. Pretty sad I must say. So first I was letting Kendal color on the eggs with crayons. That did not go well at all. She decided to pretend her eggs were cymbals and smashed them together. Of course the eggs cracked. Then I had the bowls filled with the colored dye along the counter. She did not like using the egg holder, she wanted to toss the eggs in the bowl. And those eggs cracked as well. She did like stirring the eggs. Hopefully next year I can be more creative with the eggs. This year we have just solid eggs.
