Royal Tea Party

Kendal had a Royal tea party at our house today to celebrate her birthday with her friends. Her friends were invited over to have tea and dress up. The kids were so cute. I made sandwiches, muffins, fruit cups, and different types of "tea" for the kids. A friend of ours made a castle door entry way leading to our sun room where we had the tea party. We had a few knights, princess', a prince, a king, and many other Royal guests.

Kendal told one of her little boyfriends who were a batman mask often that she wanted a pink one, so his mother made her one. She loved it!Opening presents.

Kendal's Birthday

When Kendal woke up Sunday morning Ross and I jumped out of bed and ran into her room. She started saying "Mommy look at my sheets, look at my bed, look at my new flower picture, and my curtains. Is it really my birthday?" We said yes. She said "Where is my cake?" She loved her room. She was so excited all day about it. Ross made cinnamon twists with chocolate icing with pink sprinkles. We sang Happy Birthday and let her blow out her candles.

Every girl's dream

I know I would love to wake up to my room redone without having to do the work. We redid Kendal's room for her birthday. Her favorite color is pink. So today she went to a friend's house after lunch and stayed until dinner time. In the meantime I painted her room. I told the kids that I had cleaned their room with special stuff and we could not go in there. I let them go to sleep in our bed while Ross and I put her room back together. So this is what she will wake up to on her birthday! Happy 4th Birthday Kendal!

When we painted the kitchen this summer I did not do behind the refridgerator. Last weekend Kendal and I finished it up. The pictures say enough.

Making Eyeballs

I guess this is a little belated but I found the pictures and I thought I would post them. I let the kids help me make the eyeballs for the Halloween party. They were so easy and cute. I had a bag of jelly beans, a bag of lifesavers, and vanilla pudding. I had the kids sort the lifesavers by color, then I had them pick out 18 black jelly beans. In an egg crate you put half easter eggs down, drop a black jelly bean, a red lifesaver, then fill it to the top with vanilla pudding. Freeze it. I pulled them out before the party started and spooned the eyeballs out on a tray. Most of the kids loved them and the pirate did too. I little messy to eat though. My kids loved making them! My mom found the recipe on the Family Circle website (i think).

Bring a Friend to Ballet

This past week was "Bring a Friend to Class" week at Kendal's dance and arts studio. She goes to ballet and music class once a week. Not to mention it was the week before Halloween so they were able to wear their costumes. I missed taking pictures for music. She invited her friend Cole to ballet class. He did not wear his full costume and she dressed up as Fancy Nancy going to ballet class. You can't tell but she has the wings on too. She loved wearing a special tutu and wings to ballet class. Plus there is class picture with the teachers dressed up.

Enjoying the weather

This past week has been great weather. Actually I think it has been warmer here than in Mandeville. One day this week I watched a friend of mine's three children while her husband had surgery. I had the kids all day starting at 7am. Thank God it was warm enough for us to ride bikes. Whenever Jacob (the one in the blue helmet) comes over he asks if we can play in the front yard and usually the answere is no. But that day I said YES!!!!!!!! Him and Kendal rode bikes together for at least 30 minutes. Here is a few cute pics of Kendal enjoying time with her friends on her bike.
